Newcastle EGNT SRA Runway 25
Hi folks, does anyone know why the rwy 25 SRA in NCL has higher MHA by 10 feet when ending at 2 miles (630 ft) than 1 mile (620 feet)
I assume it's something to do with the MAP (which is at 1mile from touchdown) so you have to time it if doing a 2 mile SRA. Why are there both 2 and 1 mile SRA's to rwy 25 when rwy 07 seems to only have a 2 mile SRA available? Is it also correct that on termination of an SRA which ends higher than MDA, you can continue down to MDA(H). Thanks. |
At the termination of an SRA (whether that be 0.5, 1, or 2 miles from touchdown) you either have sufficient visual refference to continue the approach visually, or you go-around. Once the SRA has terminated, you have no lateral or horizontal guidance, so unless you are visual, you can't continue.
