Question Private Connection to the AFTN

Based in the UK, how would I go about obtaining a private connection to the AFTN. A trawl of the web reveals many companies that will sell the software to drive my connection, but little inspiration as to where I would get my connection from in the first place.

I assume that the AFTN is still stuck in in the world of Telex or worse, and that and IP connection is a none-starter?

Have a look at Unisys, I think they have an ip gateway for the network that is available for third parties.

2D,

you may want to have a look at this site: http://www.cnd.co.nz/annex_10_main_page.htm, although this company does not provide a connection. Their sorware is in use by the CAA in the Czech Republic, see http://www.ans.cz/rlpquery/ .

If you find more info, I'd appreciate a cc.

Erik.
