737NG crossover speeds

Hi everybody,

our normal procedure chapter says "start flap extention at up-speed or 210kts, whichever is higher" for the approach phase. Nobody can realy tell me the reason. The Efis-737 had block speeds to overcome the risk of falling below crossoverspeed. Is there any comparable risk on the NG´s?
