Question WW2 Magneto Identification

A friend has given me an old Bendix Scintilla DFN Magneto. Mfr Drg 10 - 8038 - 19 manufactured in 1941. He has 10, they are all brand new unused. Does anyone have any info on them or want them ?

I'm not sure what engines they are for, but perhaps you should contact the Confederate Air Force. I'm sure they would be able to tell you what engine(s) they are for, and perhaps whether or not they could use them. If the CAF could use them, and you were to donate them, I'm pretty certain it could be used as a tax deductable donation to a NPO. The CAF can use all the support they can get to keep their beautiful birds flying.

Thumbs up

Great idea about the CAF,have seen them in
action - worthy recipients.
Try posting on Eng&Tech might be some
people out there who remember.
PS if they fit a Wright 3350 I might know
someone who could use them.
Also try the guys down in Tuscon AZ in the
yards,might be of help!
