Question PerfA: Improved climb reversers req?

nullJAA:Perf A

Can any one tell me if thrust reversers are taken into account in the calculation of the reject case for an improved climb takeoff?

In other words can you takeoff using improved climb technique with an inop thrust reverser?

Thanks in advance.

I'm more familiar with the FARS, but I would say NO, they are not required for a normal takeoff, improved climb is a normal takeoff.

They can be used for wet/contaminated runways.

The only time that thrust reverse is considered is in a wet rejected take off (RTO). The wet RTO distance is based on using one thrust reverser.
