Hi everyone, I'm a forth year trainee with BAMC (yes, I know Taffy's garage!!) and I was wondering if any of you guys know where I might get information on the GPS system replacing the VOR system and even the ILS system – I read about it and am very keen to study it in more depth for my HNC project. Is it true that the GPS system will be able to make CAT 3C Autolands possible without the use of ILS?? Also, does anyone have information on the MLS system or know where I might get comprehensive literature on the above?
My project is focusing on emerging technologies and any ideas from the wealth of experience on this site would be greatly appreciated. I am focusing mainly on Avionics but any A & C suggestions would be more than welcome.
