Definitely worth a read. If DP Davies "Handling the Big Jets" is the book you read to get into an airline job, then Fly The Wing is the one you would read to pass your check-to-line. Get your hands on a copy if you can.
Full details are:
"Fly the Wing" Author Jim Webb
The Iowa State University Press, Ames, Iowa USA
First Edition 1971, second printing 1975
ISBN 0-8138-0545-7
Found mine in a book exchange last year, AU$15!

It is the current reference for "performance"
Unfortunately it doesn't cover JAA ops performance which is being adopted under"harmonization" with the FAA.Jaa ops covers"wet" ops:reduced V1,15' screen heights etc.The criteria that Airbus and now Boeing(performance'B' package) must Certify their aircraft.Does anyone know of a JAA perf'reference(apart from the Boeing?FAA,sponsored"go/no go" supplemental training manual)
