The AVMED RESOURCE NET-PAGES
In the true ephemeral nature of the net, Dr Dougal Watson has now encapsulated all his files in downloadable pdf format at this URL:
http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dxw/avmedpub.html AVMED Articles
http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dxw/avmed.html his home page
Some of the smaller acrobat files will open online and be browsable. Reason I mention it is that the URL for the "pitch-up illusion" is now defunct.
This was discussed widely in the 23 page GulfAir thread on Rumours & News at http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/For.../009550-9.html
This thread is now closed and the URL's cannot be corrected.
The "false climb illusion article does readily open online and this is the URL: http://www.ozemail.com.au/%7Eaupa/PDF_files/DNT.pdf
(i.e. also accessible quite clearly as a link from that first URL above)

Hi Pprunes,
Just passing by and thought I'd drop-in.
The aviation medicine website still has all the articles and info it used to. Yes, many of the larger articles are now PDFs designed for online viewing only. A lot of the lower tier URLs change as the site is revised and remodelled so I recommend folk not bother keeping specific URLs except for the home-page: http://www.ozemail.com.au/~dxw/avmed.html. You can get to all the other stuff via this page.
Sincerely
Dougal
p.s. From time-to-time some of the URLs misbehave ... I'm afraid that's life on a self-funded, low budget website.
