Corrosion on the Barra planes?

I read the article on the Otter that goes to Barra in Pilot.

Do they need to make any additional precautions/mods to avoid corrosion from the sea water. Or do they just hose it down with fresh water at the end of each day? Just curious.

I'm not an authority on this but I do know an LC engineer and I believe it get hosed down after every trip on its return to GLA. I only know this because he complains he has to do it every day.

Cheers

If you have a look on my post about Loganair twin otter in 'sponsorship and jobs' I am sure someone will be able to help you answer this question.

I really enjoyed the twin otter to barra read - well done Pilot!
