Post RVSM

We have an insert in our route manual regarding rvsm that states "when changing flight level in rvsm airspace ensure that vertical speed does not exceed 1500 fpm"

Has anyone else got this? ie. is this standard, does it mean as it says, or is it a question of using common sense and reduce v/s when approaching cleared level because of a possible TCAS RA ? I'm thinking of the restriction we often get to leave fl370 to be fl260 40 from LAM, we use vnav for this and wait to the TOD but if it has to be 1500fpm we will have to go down alot sooner.

We have too, but out restriction is max 1000'/min. TCAS must be the reason (until everyone is change 7 maybe?)
