Turn coordinator

Hi guys, got another question for the Wise...

Why do the bigger airplanes have no turn coordinator? Or to put it in another way - where is it written, when it's not required? I've checked JAR-OPS, which state that a turn and slip indicator is nessecary, tha JAR-23 do not state anything...

Greetings

The rules give alternatives: A TC needed unless a certain number of independent AIs are fitted. Don't know where the JARs have put it though.

Okay, I have finally found it in JAR-OPS1. it is stated that if the airplane is equipped with a standby attitude indicator, only the slip indicator is required.
