Airbus autothrust disconnection
Hello,
Just looking for some guidance for an FS2002 simulator project.
As I understand it autothrust has three possible states: Active armed and disconnected. It is disconnected if the thrust levers are pulled to idle. In this state is AoA protection still available or does the FCU button first need to be pressed again to re-activate autothrust ?
Many thanks.

A/THR is acivated when ALPHA FLOOR is activated, regardless of the the initial status of the A/THR and the position of the trhustlevers.
Check your PM.
Thanks,

I also use fs2002, sorry i dont know how to help you, but I wonder if you could help me! When landing (e.g. A320/747) sometimes I get reversers to work, sometimes not. Any tips?

mattuk I have the same problem with every reverse thrust capable aircraft in fs2002. I discovered the problem was my joystick, the throttle lever was not calibrated properly which meant at idle it was always about 35%N1 therefore everytime I tried to hit F2 to reverse thrust the throttle would cancel it out! try re calibrating your joystick.

FS issue
For the guys with the FS problem....
When you land, quickly hit CONTROL K....this disables the joystick, and allows full reverse thrust to become availible.
The reason it does not work is coz you are fighting the joystick against the keyboard, and the joystick wins!!
CONTROL - K, hold down F2 (or 3 on the num pad with NUM lock off), and you'll be slowin down. Dont forget to then control direction with the keyboard till 60 knots whatever, then CONTROL K again, to be able to use the joystick.
Fidly, but isnt that real world flying for ya
Smooth skies,
Dan.

Diesel8,
On the A320, Alpha Floor in inhibited for the remainder of the flight if the instincive Autothrust PBs are pressed for more than 15 seconds. This is because you have effectively disabled all autothrust functions until you get into the Takeoff phase again. It doesn't seem to be the case on the 330 though...
