Brake Temps

Hi,
Does anyone know how EICAS brake temps (0-9) relate to actual temperatures, specifically on the B757/767.
Thanks,
GA

for the 767 with brake temp monitoring

A 0 to 5 volt signal corresponding to a 105°C to 758°C brake temperature is provided to the EICAS computers for each of the sensors. The EICAS system then displays unit values of 0 to 9 corresponding to the brake temperatures provided to EICAS.

0 up to 151 Deg C
1 152 -256
2 217-281
3 282-346
4 347-412
5 413-477
6 478-542
7 543-608
8 609-673
9 over 673

these are increasing temperatures, decreasing temps change at slightly different values.

Is that the same for all Boeings (747-4)?

No, each aircraft is different - ie

747-400 - Brake temp between 176C and 788C is shown by a single digit number from 0 (<176C) to 9 (>788C)

777-200 - Brake temp between 38C and 1038C is shown on a linear scale between 0.0 and 9.9

Blimey, and people say that Airbus complicate matters!. Why not just display the brake temp in degrees C on the screen above each wheel.

To me the units displayed matter not a jot - as long as the manuals are in the same units. It could be bananas per crocodile if you like, just make all the documentation consistent.
