Departure Clearance
Hello!
I'm not a pilot and I've got a question concerning the departure clearance.
Suppose you recieve this clearance:
Meridiana 58W cleared to Catania, Bologna 5U departure, then RESPU , climb...
Is not clear to me if reaching RESPU you can preceed normally following your filed planned route or you need futher clearance to proceed.
Any clear explanation is appreciated.
Thanks

I would think you could proceed en route UNLESS RESPU was not part of your original plan.
If you are to hold en route you would expect a call something like "....clearance limit RESPU" - in this case DO NOT go beyond RESPU without positive clearance.
