Question for A350-1000 pilots, specifically British Airways

Hello, I am looking to be an A350 pilot some time in the future, not too long...

If there are any A350 pilots who can answer any of these questions, that would be great, and it would support my knowledge before I start training.

1) I wanted to know how automated a standard long haul flight would be e.g, at what stage would you engage the autopilot after departure, and how long would you leave it on before landing, I heard some pilots like to autoland even in clear weather just to manage workload.

2) What aircraft would you recommend training on to get a feel of what the A350 feels like before you start flying it, I heard the A330 or A380 share the same architecture as the A350, but I wanted to get your opinion on this.

3) Finally, what skills or qualities do you think would make someone stand out when applying to British Airways as a pilot, beyond just flying ability?

Thanks!
