Tailwind Limitation with EEC in ALTN Mode

The 757 has a limitation of 10kts of tailwind when the EECs are in alternate mode. Does anyone know the reason for this limitation?

Mainly because the performance tables are only certified up to 10kt tailwind with EECs in alternate mode.

However, there are various engine handling issues such as reduced compressor stall protection, slower engine response and less accurate thrust control. This is for take off and I'm not sure if the same applies for landing.
