What is the RVSM contingency procedure in India/Middle EAST?

What is the RVSM contingency procedure in India/Middle EAST?
I have read that if you deviate atleast 5 Nautical Mile and then climb or descend by 500 ft? Is the 5 NM value correct ? Somewhere I read it's 15-25 . Although ,as per icao doc 4444 it seems to be 5 nm.
