Engine out GA certification
Hi all,
Does anyone one which limiting factors are to be met when certifying engine out performance in the event of a single-engine go around?
I understand the aircraft has to be capable of going around at MTOW (to ensure the plane can return inmediately after take-off) on one engine, but which other limiting factors are considered? I am thinking about resilience against system failures (e.g, flaps stucked at 40º, gear blocked in down position, hydraulic failures...), weather conditions (e.g, maximum certified crosswind from the critical direction) or any other limiting factors.
Best,

Certification requirements are CS 25 121 (D) in EASA land. Solely considers 1 engine inoperative, multiple failures not required. 25.119 covers all engines operating. The manufacturer is required t9 give you performance data to calculate your actual performance in the multiple failure scenario.
If you an Airbus driver relying on Flysmart you will note that even with LG RETRACT on the INOP SYS FS does not assume gear stuck down when calculating approach climb gradient and it has to be manually selected.
