619 VU / guarded switch

Any idea?
What the guarded switch is for? (Cannot post a PIC yet)
Cannot find any info on the FCOM.
It is on the left sidewall of captain's seat. behind tiller.
Near captain's flashlight.

In my opinion, the function of a guarded switch typically depends on the type of aircraft. If you can provide the model or type of the aircraft, I can try to determine the purpose of that switch.

RATC

Assuming you are talking about the A320, I guess it is the switch of the Remote ATC system..
Read this on PPRuNe a few years ago. However I have no official documentation at hand.

Look it up in the Wiring Data Manual next time you're on the aircraft.

Search for the word “ALERT” in FCOM, that should find it.

Thx.

Seems they need to be hidden.
No official manual data found.
