ACLP production woes - A220 overwing slide deployment

Transport Canada has just issued an AD for the A220 (formerly CSeries) for inspection of the overwing escape slide mechanism to determine whether a rigging pin from production has been left installed, which would prevent deployment of the slide in service.

Several aircraft in service have been found with this pin still in situ - it's not clear whether those were Canadian- or US- assembled airframes.

For some reason, operators have been given 12 months to accomplish the AD.
