737 FMC Stab Trim & VREF for all flaps up.

Why does the calculated STAB trim ball reduce by 1.0 unit around 77 knots during the T/O Roll with no movement on the stabiliser wheel. ?

Why do we fly at VREF40 + 55 for "All Flaps up landing"?

You're back on the 737 now? I thought you'd gone to the Bus...

1. Do you mean the stab trim value in the FMC? Never noticed that.

2. That's what Boeing's engineers and test pilots came up with and it assures a safe approach can be flown to a landing.

Always have been on the 737. Reading the A320 manuals as well.
