EC145 Equipment - Help Needed

Hi troops,

Hoping someone is able to help me out here. I have a 3D image downloaded from an on-line provider and I'm trying to identify 2 items of equipment at the bottom of the central console.

The last from bottom item I think is a weather radar and that 'TELT' should be 'TILT', and some of the other control labels may be incorrect.

But it is the bottom item that is causing problems - the best we can come up with is that it's some form of GNSS receiver but the telephone button and dial pad is causing a headache - I've tracked the lat/long on the display down to the threshold of Rwy 30 at Jacqueline Cochran International Airport (KRTM), which seems to run HEMS operations, and the 3D model is kitted out for HEMS ops. I've asked several UK based colleagues in the HEMS business and they can't identify it so I thinking it's a piece of kit used in the USA and not the UK.

I'd be really grateful if anybody is able to help out.

Many thanks.

Taff

That looks like an AIS receiver + marine VHF radio for offshore ops! Allows the crew to find vessels, and call them directly over marine VHF using DSC.

Radar Controls

I agree with the AIS / VHF – hence the displayed Channel 16 and 25 watts. Screen depicts vessel positions with indications of course.

Comparing weather radar control panels, I would suggest the following:

WP = Vertical Profile (VP)

TEK = Track (TRK)

Ws = Weather (Wx)

WkA = Weather Alert (WxA)

ONG WAP = Ground Map (GND MAP)

Top Left Knob = Off / Standby / Test / On

Lower Left Knob = Gain

Lower Right Knob = Tilt – Up / Down
