Only a guess, but I wonder if 'slow law orders' refer to the XX degrees of rudder the system puts in when an engine fails?

i.e. it doesn't try to modulate the rudder to keep straight or anything but just adds a fixed deflection on top of the rudder commands to help compensate.

This is my guess. LAND mode is possibly leading to an auto land with rollout guidance. Therefore when LAND mode engages additional input from FMGC (via the FAC) is provided to guide the aircraft through the flare and rollout manoeuvre.

Is that a new computer version?
