De-icing

Helsinki-Manchester this morning Embraer 190, CAVOK +5c, surprised to see us taxi to the de-ice bay for a thorough drenching before departure. Any idea why? Thanks.

If the aircraft (and the remaining fuel in the wing tanks) is still cold soaked de/anti-icing will prevent the rain from freezing on the structure as nasty clear ice 👍
