A320 DC Ess bus fault: ENG Master switches

Can any expert out there help? With a DC Ess Bus fault on an A320 NEO, do the ENG Master switches shut the engines down when they are selected off? The FCOM says they don't (HP valves no longer supplied) but in the sims I use (320 NEO) the engines do shut down and the sim engineers claim that this is correct as the HP valves are linked to the Battery Bus. So is the NEO design different to the CEO? Has Airbus modified both the CEO and NEO? Are the sim engineers wrong?! Many thanks for any answers.
