Autoland CAT 1 Authorization OPSPEC

Let me start by saying my carrier is not cat 2/3 authorized, B737 & B767 operator.
C061 is the opspec in question in FAA land, says "use flight control guidance systems for airplane automatic landing operations other than categories II and III" not authorized. we have no guidance in FOM for Autoland, all our aircraft are capable using dual channel. Do I take this opspec, that we are "not authorized" to mean that under any circumstance Autoland is not to be used IFR or VFR for CAT 1 operations period. Half the pilot group says we can, other half, no. I'm in the no camp.

Can we get a bit more context please? Or at least the entire paragraph you’re quoting.

I dont read any text that states “not authorized” for anything.

My interpretation is CAT 1 operations flown with Auto Flight Guidance or Manual is available. If your AP is approved for auto land ( via your FCOM ) it may have some limitations attached to auto land in CAT 1 weather or CAT 1 facilities. In which case observe those limitiations.

This need to be read in conjunction to LOA C061/C062 Part 125 Letter of Deviation Authority A125, it outlines the requirements in relation to operational, airworthiness, and airport. The A1/A2 templates should be in your manual.

swh, thank you sir, this is all the reference I needed. This LOA is not in our manuals, thus we are "not authorized" to conduct cat 1 autoland approaches regardless of wx.
I maybe should have asked in a different way to avoid confusion, "is there an opspec that authorizes cat 1 autoland operations"? because in the opspec list of "The certificate holder in accordance with the reference paragraphs, is authorized to:" it is not listed. Thanks for the help Gents.
