ETOPS A320 & A330

Greeting all,
On A320, diversion is required if one GEN remaining (ENG or APU) with EMER GEN available. However, on A330, the ETOPS can be continued for the same scenario....

Anythought for such a difference

I’m a little rusty but my guess is that it’s because the 330 has an Emer Gen that is powered by the green system which is more powerful then just the RAT on the 320.

You also need to remember the A330 was designed to be operated ETOPS, but the A320FAM was not and had to have a number of changes to allow it to do so.
