Simulator once a year
Guys,
I know that I have read that crews have to train in a simulator once a year, but right now I can not find the regulation at all.
Can any of you good guys post the reference please? Just helping a friend.
Thank you

Hello,
I found this: https://flight-examiner.com/revadlid...trument-rating
The place I worked it's simulator twice a year as the IR is only valid 6 months.

An IR is valid for 12 months, so you have to do a licence proficiency check (LPC) once a year.
An operator will be subject to whatever regulations the competent authority decides, in most cases that means an operator proficiency check (OPC) in between.
The result is usually a SIM every 6 months, and there's hardly any difference between the two (eg an LPC requires a manually flown go around and single engine approach, an OPC can be flown with the automatics) so it's quite common for a crew to have a SIM session with one doing an OPC and one doing an LPC.

Thank you guys, but what I am after is the EASA reference requiring a pilot to carry out simulator training at least once a year. I believe that I have seen it in the past but can not find it now.

hello, you forget to mention for what purpose is the FSTD session required? To keep typerating valid? Instrument rating? Recent experience? OPC? What exactly?
