RVSM checks, cancelled?

Does anyone know if some authorities have now removed the need to perform RVSM checks in flight?

I flew on a Danish AOC for a bit and it was suggested that when airborne, RVSM checks are no longer required. It was even removed from the EFB application.

In this day and age of computer monitored everything I don't think it would be hard to install a system the alerts the pilots if altitude readigs divereged past a set limit. And then we can just remove the pilots altogether.

Depends on aircraft. Newer aircraft have self-monitoring systems, older ones may not.
