Electronic FLB

Hello,

A friend who works with IT raised this subject recently and I decided to ask the experts here: is there any electronic application that is used on the line as Flight Log Book? By that I mean not the logbooks we pilots keep, but the official FLB on board the aircraft, where the flights are logged by the crew members for record keeping/maintenance purposes/payment/etc.

If this exists, which airlines are already using this system?

Many thanks in advance!

BF

We have been using an Electronic Tech Log for some years now. It feeds real time info back to base and has many other advantages. I imagine all major operators are using similar systems.
