Why there is no MEL reference concerning MCDU ANN. Lights ?

I’m assuming your talking Airbus?

We have an MEL item for MCDU annunciations lights ( A320). It show the number installed as “ - “ and number required for despatch 0. The dash symbol for number required means their is a variable quantity depending on aircraft. It’s a CAT C so can be deferred for 10 days..

Thanks, but what I meant if the FM symbol or IND shown in amber it’s a dispatchable case providing so & so ....!

Maybe Airbus determine the aircraft should not be dispatched in this condition. There are items for FMGC 1 (2) inoperative. So the aircraft could be dispatched in single mode with one FMGC disabled. What does your maintenance dept say?

make a technical request to Airbus to get some detailed info relating to this fault and reasons why no MEL exists.

Without checking my company's MEL, that suggests they're no-go items.
