when you press the IDG disconnect button are you disconnecting the CSD from the generator or are you disconnecting the CSD from the engine in the accessory gear box?

The disconnection is between CSD and gear box input.

Integrated driven generator (IDG)- absolutely independent unit of the engine with own oil system and own control. "Integrated"- it means CSD combined with generator in one unit. In other words you can NOT disconnect CSD from generator, only IDG from gear box and reconnect again only on the ground after maintenance.
