Hi All

Why does the A320 center tank pumps run for 5 mins after the center tank runs dry?

Thanks

Hi arrow28,

Technically the 5 mins timer doesn't start when the tank is "dry". It starts from when the CTR TK LO LVL sensor is triggered. (DSC-28-10-30 Engine Feed CENTER TANK PUMPS CONTROL LOGIC diagram.)
There is still a small amount of fuel in the centre tank which can normally be scavenged out in 5 mins.

Would you happen to know at what levels the LO LVL sensors are triggered.

If that was a question, then this is an answer.

.... at what levels the LO LVL sensors are triggered.
About 100 kgs +/- 100 depending on attitude.
