B737 NG: WHICH HEADSET??

Hello guys,

I was flying the ATR before with a bose A20 and now the B737 NG ( NO INTERCOM - one ear uncovered) with the Telex 750.
I did not imagine that the NG was so noisy, I will be half deaf sooner than expected.

So my question:

What are you, guys, using? Keep in mind that on my airline's aircraft, there is no chance to have an open INTERCOM ( do not have the option unfortunately)

Thanks

Get a headset with a talkthrough function as part of the noise cancelling?

I don't have it, but your best option probably is the Telex 850.

I have a friend who just bought one and he's happy with his purchase.

Every B737 can have a hot-mike, you just need pair of rubber bands.

Although your safety department might consider this "dangerous".

"Dangerous."

What?

I said it's dangerous to fly with the rubberband on the IC switch!

It's dangerous to spy a mugger and an icy witch?

Exactly!

What?

I fly with the Bose A20 and I'm really happy with it.

I had a Telex 850 before but the noise cancelling was to low and on longer flights the 850 was uncomfortable...

As someone mentioned already I use a rubber band to make a hot mike (my safety department doesn't know about it ;-) ), or I just press the button everytime I want to talk to my colleague...
