A380 Landing gear

Recntly at AUH I saw a betal disc like cover put on the Maiin gear on both sides. It was supported by a strut coming up from a wheeled base.Looked like it ad just been slid on. Disc was just wide enough to cover the rubber on the sides

Looked around google for pictures but ... Zilch...

Any one any clues....??

I am guessing that what you are seeing is a portable brake fan in action, to put brake fans onto the A380 has a substantial weight penalty, to manage brake temperatures, some destinations have mobile brake fans driven by a small two-stroke motor.
