MOCA/MORA/MEA

Hello guys,

I was studying the Jepp chart recently and some questions came to my mind.

First the MEA, what is the lateral protection of it? I read 4nm either side. (?)

Then the MOCA, what is the clearance? ( 1000ft and 2000ft in mountainous region?) what is the lateral protection?

Then about the MORA, you confirm that the clearance on the Jeppesen only takes into account the obstacle height ( 5001 and below = 1000ft and 5001 and above=2000ft) and that the 2000ft rule in mountainous region is used for other charts editor or is country specific.
In france for exemple, we have always been told that the MEA provides 1000ft and 2000ft when flying in mountainous regions, same for the MSA.
When I read the definition of the MSA in the Jeppesen intro, the only clearance mentioned is 1000ft. It never mentions a 2000ft clearance.

Thanks
