VOR identification on 737NG

Hi,

As we know when the VOR station is identified in NG the station code appears in ND. But I noticed there are two types. One with large fonts and one with small fonts. Someone told me if the DME is not identified then it appears like small fonts but still in some occasions I see it appears with LARGE fonts Without DME !

Someone has an idea?! Any reference in FCOM?

My FCOM (company tailored) says:

Frequency displayed before the identifier is decoded. The decoded identifier replaces the frequency. Medium size characters for VOR, small size characters for DME only.

I doubt it helps as its structure does not conform to boeings manuals. OMB part III, 10.41.9.
