A320 - Indication on PFD

In the A320 the Fixed Aircraft Symbol is in black, and outlined in yellow. The yellow outline is dimmed if the flight crew selects TRK-FPA, unless the FMA is in TOGA or FLX mode.
Why is this design feature incorporated? Why should it be dimmed if TRK FPA is selected?
And why should it retain the brightness if TOGA or FLX mode is selected?

Well I didn't notice it but if it is there it is not difficult to understand. When you select TRK/FPA The flight path vector becomes the primary indication with which you fly and not so much with the aircraft symbol. When you hit TOGA FPV is automatically removed and FDs reappear so AC symbol regains it's importance so it's brightness.

Did you see it in SIM or aircraft.
Gryphon: Thanks for the reference which I confirm. But strangely it didn't happen in the SIM. I will check other models.
