737 Hot weather operation (Supp)

Hey guys,

Just wondering why the hot weather operation directs the crew to set the engine bleed air switches to "off" and the isolation valve switch to "open".....

From what I know, the ISOL valve will open (if set to AUTO), when EITHER engine bleed air switch, or air cond pack switch is set to "off"... Is the clue in the wording (either)???

If so, one would imagine that the FCOM would state that setting BOTH bleed air switches to "off" would keep the ISOL valve closed (again, in AUTO)..... However there is no such reference, and regarding the valve closure logic, it only "talks" about all switches set to "on, auto or high".

Help would be greatly accepted!!!

Cheers
