After the 2 major accidents to 737s as a result of suspected rudder malfunctions, I thought the advice to crew was ANY unusual restriction, behaviour, "knocking" or other impediments to full and free travel and it's a return to stand and give the 'frame to the engineers?

This is after ascertaining that the odd characteristics are NOT due to the leaden feet of the F/O tramping on the pedals as they realise you are checking full and free for them as well ! ! ! ! ! ! !

There was a film made about the 2 737 accidents involving the rudder, it was a mayday production.

Just FYI we did return to stand that morning

The investigation drew no conclusion
