B737-300 Rudder freeze
I wondered if anyone has ever experienced a rudder freeze in its neutral position before?
taxiing along the other day and it completely froze neutral, eventually came loose, but was very strange indeed, this was out of KL.
condition's where good. aircraft is older 1993

After the 2 major accidents to 737s as a result of suspected rudder malfunctions, I thought the advice to crew was ANY unusual restriction, behaviour, "knocking" or other impediments to full and free travel and it's a return to stand and give the 'frame to the engineers?
This is after ascertaining that the odd characteristics are NOT due to the leaden feet of the F/O tramping on the pedals as they realise you are checking full and free for them as well ! ! ! ! ! ! !

There was a film made about the 2 737 accidents involving the rudder, it was a mayday production.
Just FYI we did return to stand that morning
The investigation drew no conclusion
