Custom waypoints B777 vs B737 FMC?

Hi!

I´m wondering how flexible the 777 FMC is when creating your own waypoints.
I captured a video on the 737 to show it to the folks of PMDG when their 737 Sim was under construction - a wonderful simulation, but the custom waypoints functionality is missing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cydtSlBEJtc

Now they are short of releasing the 777.. and claim, that the 777 FMC "doesn't do this type of stuff that the NG does"

Can one of you 777 drivers confirm this? Is it not possible to create a second waypoint based on the first self created waypoint??

Thanks!

The 737 FMC in a lot of respects is far more advanced than that of the 777. There are a number of useful function used often on the 737 that just aren't available on the 777.

On the 737 there is a temporary WP data base where user made waypoints are stored and deleted automatically upon landing. Unless I'm missing something, this is not an available feature on the 777 (the ones I operate anyway 777-300ER).
