Concept concerning the lift produced by wings
One question in Commercial Pilot Test Prep from ASA
In the book there is a question as follows:
An aircraft wing is designed to produce lift resulting from the difference in the
a) negative air pressure below and a vacuum above the wing's surface
b) higher air pressure below the wing's surface and lower air pressure above the wing's surface
The answer from the book is option a. However, isn't option b more accurate?!
As in option a it says there will be a vacuum above the wing's surface...?

Understanding or at least not misunderstanding lift is really important, the most important concept for a commercial pilot.
When will the regulators stop qualification, agrements from so crazy teachers and instructors? ? Do they finaly themselves have an idea what lift is?
