717 Fuel System

Hello guys! If the center fuel tank of a 717 is over fueled, where is the extra fuel going ? And if you get a fuel spill on the right wing could that be related to the center tank being topped off ? Any thoughts ? Thank you.

That was a common problem we had with the 717. The center fuel tank shut off switch wouldn't activate due to an air pocket. The fuel worked its way to the NACA duct from memory. There is a mod that re-positions the switch in the center fuel tank to stop it from happening.
