cabin pressurization schedule

The controllers use ambient pressure and flight plan data from the FMC to calculate a cabin pressurization schedule. The schedule provides a comfortable cabin climb to cruise altitude.

I suppose this would explain why you might get various cabin rates of climb on different flights.

In the pressurised aircraft I've flown, the rate didn't vary that I ever noticed, just the final cabin altitude and pressure diff.
