A330 ENG MINOR FAULT

Hello,

Anyone knows what a "minor fault" is. We fly with GE engines and it is an MEL (73-09-05A)item. It's also mentioned in the warning and cautions section of the FCOM.

Regards.

GE MINOR FAULT

An ENG # MINOR FAULT is an ECU category "B" fault which means there is a short time limited dispatch of 300hrs involved.
(For Boeing A/C the ENG # EEC C1 EICAS message is similar to this A330 MINOR FAULT message.)

Cool

Minor fault on the 330 could be something as simple as IDG oil level, no major drama, the PFR will have the msg number and what action is needed.
