Engine start

A rather dumb question

Why is engine number 2 usually started first on the 737NG?
My guess - just to check if the isolation valve is working properly or not..

I have always found the search function on PPRUNE rather poor.

For reference, could you please advise how you would best use the search function in order to find the answer that the OP seeks.

You use Google: type in the query you need and add "site: pprune.org" (without quotation marks).

Try 'start sequence b737' in the search function and click on posts...
