Battery Start 737 classic

Hey all greetings,

I'm on sim now and in today's session I got battery start and when I looked at the FCOM 1 for supp procedure... Its all mixed and messed up... I mean I am confused when should I do the normal procedure and when should I do my supp batt start procedure...

Can anyone please shed some light on this...

Thanks...

IIRC battery start is only done if you do have air source (external air or APU bleed), but no AC power source (no APU generator or no external power). It wouldn't make sense to do a battery start if you have AC source available - you can make a normal start then - or if you don't have any pneumatic air source (no way to turn the starter anyway).
