Configuration as per SOPs

Hi,

just curious on what is the configuration schedule for the 737NG.

I currently fly the airbus and want to compare it against the SOPs from Airbus, namely regarding fuel saving.

Can anyone help?

regards,

Dave

Flaps 1-5 at 12-13 miles, depends on the situation
Flaps 10 if needed
Gear & Flaps 15 at 4 or 5 miles (VMC/IMC)
Flaps 25-30-40 as req. to be stable by 500 or 1000 ft AAL (VMC/IMC)

I guess other 737NG-operators have something similar...

Depending on approach, usually flaps 5 when intercepting the glideslope (10NM), latest 2000ft AGL gear down and flaps 15. Final config, final checklist completed and engines spooled up to at least 40% N1 latest by 1000ft (only exception is a circling approach).
