737 cost index 2012
As the price of oil continues to creep higher and higher we all seem to be flying slower and slower. I heard a KLM doing 0.71 and an Aer Lingus doing 0.69 recently and both were in the low FL300's and there was no out of the ordinary tailwinds or anything.
What cost index are you using and what are the average speeds you are getting in climb, cruise and descent?
Thanks.

Flying slow low level does not make sense unless there is a massive tailwind, I doubt CI was the reason alone - anyhow, we fly with a CI of 6 or 7, that means climb speed is anywhere between 274 and 298, cruise .76-.77 in still wind, descent always below 250
