Pilot - Cabin Crew research: PILOTS - please complete

Hi All.

As part of on-going research into pilot and cabin crew communication, I am now collecting data specifically from pilots. With the help of PPRuNe, research directed at cabin crew has already been conducted, and the results were published on PPRuNe as well as in a leading aviation safety magazine.

To help me continue with this research, I have designed a questionnaire, which I would be very grateful if you could complete. It is designed to be completed only by those people who have current or previous commercial pilot experience, where there has been at least one operating flight attendant on board. Cabin crew, or personnel in other aviation fields, are respectfully requested not to complete this questionnaire.

It will take about 10 minutes of your time to complete. Results to the research will be made available to this forum.

Permission has gratefully been received from PPRuNe to put a link to the questionnaire here.

Please only complete the questionnaire once.

To take the pilot questionnaire, click on this link: Take Pilot Questionnaire Here

Many thanks in advance for your time.

The article for the cabin crew research can be found here. NOTE: if you intend on completing the pilot questionnaire, please refrain from viewing this article until AFTER you have completed the pilot questionnaire.

Interesting coincidence that I read this just after seeing this news; Incident: Ryanair B738 and American B763 at Barcelona on May 27th 2011, both aircraft departed despite ground collision and passenger complaints !
